The Role:
One of Australia's leading energy companies is now seeking an experienced consultant to lead the design and implementation of the company's policy and strategy in the sourcing and procurement of local content.
In this role you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, vendors and suppliers to ensure the company's Local Content Strategy and Local Content Policy are held in priority. To achieve this you will:
- Work with local supplier advocates to promote opportunities and company requirements,
- Hold supplier briefings and attend networking events to promote and prequalify information and project updates,
- Prepare and distribute media releases,
- Work with traditional owner groups to develop contracting opportunities and business development programs,
- Manage compliance and prepare reports.
To be considered for this role you will:
- Hold a relevant bachelor in Legal, Business, Commerce, Project Management or Engineering,
- Have a minimum of 10 years experience with Local Content practices within a large scale organisation,
- Previous experience within Oil & Gas industry,
- Strong working knowledge of EIS, SIMP, ILUA obligations relating to local content strategies and activities.
This position will be based in Brisbane and will require occasional travel to the field operations.
