The Role:
We are currently assisting a Refinery in Vietnam to recruit a Principle Instrument Engineer.
The Principle Instrument Engineer will supervise the instrument maintenance activities to meet the maintenance plan of Maintenance Division in accordance with established operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to provide support services to the Maintenance Division and to supervise and mentor the less experienced engineers in the group.
- Provide technical support and expertise with effort to maintain reliable controls systems for the refinery.
- Monitor and evaluate the plant control systems for anomalies and deficiencies; and make recommendations to repair or upgrade as needed.
- Promote and implement reliability & maintenance projects (TPM, RCM, CBM, ODR etc) Develop metrics for quality assessment and control.
- Provide technical advice on assembly of various types and sizes of instrumental equipment and related components.
- Provide guidance and advice on diagnosis of parts, sizes and clearance of equipment and its related components.
- Provide proper guidance and occasional training to shop craftsmen on the use of OEM technical manuals, industry standards and company procedures.
- Provide necessary technical work scopes and recommendations for equipment machining, welding, balancing, modification, testing and other repair related activities.
- Prepare technical repair work scopes for equipment machining, balancing, welding, testing and/or modification in line with OEM recommended practices, common industry standards (ASME), AWS, API, ASTM, NACE, etc.) and company procedures.
Requirement:
- Min 15 years of relevant experiences in petroleum / petrochemical plant.
- Knowledgeable with the industrial standards and code requirements for process control systems, especially Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fired Equipment & Boiler Management Systems (BMS), Compressor Control Systems (CCS) and Equipment Vibration Monitoring Systems (VMS).
Overview:
* Residential role to be based in Vietnam
* 2 years contract
* Monday to Friday and 40 hours work week, additional hours will be considered over time.
* Accommodation: provided
* Mobilisation and Demobilisation flights (economy class)
* 20 days annual leave
* Flight to home country after 6 months of service
