The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Estimator to join our client's team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role will be responsible for planning, organising and executing activities to facilitate in the smooth and efficient operations of the Company's estimating function.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensure the estimating function of the company are conducted in a timely manner, with relevance and accuracy.
* Maintain interface between clients by offering consistent procedures, accurate information and articulate communication.
* Provide technical support within the sales department in the preparation of tenders.
* Ensure the external relationship with clients is enhanced by professional and courteous communication.
* Assist with the review and monitoring of all routings used for the manufacture of stock and work order components at the company's workshop and at subcontractors' workshops.
* Assist with the update of the company's existing product profiles used when submitting tenders. Where appropriate, create new product profiles for our company's products.
* Assist in the preparation of any relevant Type Approval documentation required by clients.
* Ensure internal relationships - Engineering, Logistics, Production, and Finance - are enhanced by accurate, timely and effective communications.
* Participate and contribute to team meetings.
* Represent the external client within the internal organisation and meetings.
* Participate and commit to the Company's HSE policies and programs.
* Be aware and comply with the company's policies.
* Maintain highest degree of confidentiality regarding the company and its affairs.
